About me

Status: I'm currently looking for a job, so if you have a fitting job offer please contact me via e-mail or my contact page. Thank you.

Hi my name is Bernd Gerrits I am 20 years young, live in Vroomshoop (Overijssel, Holland) and I'm a multimedia / web designer.
I’ve just completed my education in multimedia design at the Deltion College located in Zwolle.

When I browse the web I’m often curious about how websites are build up and how they work, I’m often also intrigued by the designs.
I am interested in computers, designing, webdesign, webdevelopment, animation, audio and video editing, photography and image manipulation.
I try to extend my knowledge about these things daily by visiting websites, reading blogs with the same subjects and doing tutorials or workshops for example.

Sites I visit daily

Hobbies

I’m someone that doesn’t mind spending time behind the computer.

Most of my hobbies take place in front of a computer screen like browsing the web, gaming, photography, image manipulation, video editing, animation, web design, web development and maintaining the machine itself.
Because I always maintained the computers at my home software and hardware wise by doing so I’ve become experienced at it and developed quite some knowledge about computers.

During these hobbies I listen to music as much as I can which mostly consists out of trance and electro music.
Basically everything Paul van Dyk spins, I tend to grab every set he plays, exactly my taste.
Besides spending time behind the computer screen I also enjoy photography and drawing (which I also do digitally).

When I more or less relax I i'm watching movies (comedy, action, spoof), anime (Dragonball and Naruto), machinima, speedruns of games, television series like Heroes, Kyle XY and Knight Rider 2008 where a computer isn’t needed right away :-)
Otherwise I play games or I’m creating content for them such as maps and little mods.
My favorite game genres are strategy and shooters, strategy like Red Alert (1) and Supreme Commander and shooters like Unreal Tournament 99, Team Fortress 2 and such.
Also Grand Turismo 5 on the PS3 is a game I look forward to (got the Proloque already).
